We are reopening May 15th!

We’re excited to welcome you back to Oscar Giovanni Salon & Spa.  Your salon experience is going to look and feel a little different for the foreseeable future, but that’s ok; we’re all in this together!

Appointment Information:

  • Our reception team is contacting all clients who had appointments that were cancelled due to the closure. If you had an appointment scheduled between March 18th and May 14th, rest assured, we will not forget about you! You are the first ones on our list to get an appointment.  
  • We will then begin contacting everyone who has reached out during the closure and over the last few days.

  • For customers that have appointments already scheduled from May 15th onwards, these are staying the same with the exception of appointments with times that must be changed due to a service providers’ schedule modification.

  • For customers with standing appointments, we are keeping those appointments as is.  We ask that if you have one coming up in the next few weeks that you keep on your current schedule as we are unable to rebook your entire set of appointments.

  • We kindly ask that you have patience with us during this time as we make these calls.


Now onto the fun stuff!  We have never been more excited to say that both Oscar Giovanni Salon & Spa locations are reopening on Friday May 15th!  Over the next few days, our team will be implementing and practicing the new safety and sanitation protocols so that we can make your upcoming appointments a positive and safe experience.  We’ve compiled a run down of all the things that we’ve done, and will continue to do, to keep our customers and staff healthy & safe.

What to expect:

We’ve expanded our hours of operation to comply with the required social distancing guidelines mandated by the State of Ohio.  While there will be fewer people in the salons working, we’ve increased our hours of operation to make up for that.  For the time being, your favorite service provider may be on a slightly different schedule, so please keep this in mind when scheduling your appointment.

Arriving at the salon:

  • Please arrive 10 minutes PRIOR to your scheduled appointment time. It is crucial that you’re arriving 10 minutes early so we can stay on time for our other appointments.

  • When you arrive at the salon, we ask that you stay in your car and text us at one of the following phone numbers to check-in for your appointment:

    • Chagrin Falls: (440) 600-1353

    • Concord: (440) 600-1330

  • We will text you back when your service provider is ready. This is so that we can limit the number of people in the salon.

  • When walking up to the salon you will be directed by signs as to which door you should enter. We will be conducting temperature checks and symptom assessments once you walk inside the salon. Additionally, one of our staff members will ask you to sanitize your hands. This is to ensure that we can keep our salon a safe space for our clients and staff.

  • If you have a fever, you will be asked to leave and contact your primary physician.

  • If you have recently been in contact with someone who is sick or showing symptoms, you need to RESCHEDULE your appointment. If you have been sick yourself, proper quarantine time before your appointment is requested.

  • If you have signs or symptoms that align with COVID-19 or sickness of any kind(flu, fever, cold, virus, headache, anything contagious including on skin or scalp, stomach flu, chills, sneezing, muscle pain, loss of senses, coughing, etc) you will be asked to leave immediately.  There will be ZERO tolerance for this rule.

  • We ask that clients’ guests (children or other adults) temporarily stay safe and at home during this time.  Children with appointments are welcome and may be accompanied by one adult. Clients which require the help of a care-giver may be accompanied by one.

  • Throughout the entire duration of your time at our salon a face covering is required.

  • If you do not have a face covering, we have a limited stock of surgical masks that can be purchased for $1.00 each.

During your visit:

In order to abide by the mandatory social distancing guidelines mandated by the State of Ohio, we have implemented the following procedures:

  • Once you are in the salon we will take you directly back to your service provider to begin your appointment. For the time being we will not be having clients wait in our waiting room.

  • We will not have self-serve refreshments such as coffee or tea.

  • Bottled water is available when requested.

  • If you are having a hair color service done you will be asked to process inside your car.

  • If you are dropped off for your appointment and are receiving a hair color service, we have limited seating available which complies with the mandatory social distancing guidelines. If you will be dropped off at our salon, please let us know when scheduling your appointment.

Payment, Retail & Rebooking:

In order to avoid unnecessary congregation in the salon, we have implemented the following procedures:

  • Instead of checking out at the front desk, one of our receptionists will come to you while you are receiving your service to take payment on a virtual terminal.

  • If you would like to purchase retail, our receptionist will get that for you from the front of the salon and bring it to you when they check you out of your service.

  • If you are giving your service provider a cash tip, please hand it directly to them. If you would like to put a tip on a check we will handle the cash for you and put it in the employee’s envelope.

  • To book your next appointment, please visit the front desk following the conclusion of your service. There will be markings on the floor designating distances between people throughout our salon. If there is another person at the front desk scheduling their next appointment, we ask that you maintain at least 6 feet distance from them while waiting your turn.

What we are doing to make our salon a safe place:

  • We have fogged both of our salon locations with a product called Microsure.  When a surface is coated with Microsure All Purpose Cleaner and Disinfectant millions of invisible nanoscopic crystalline structures begin forming and bonding with the surface, effectively forming a new surface.  Resulting in a “mechanical kill” which will kill the cells of the bio-threat trying to attach to the object.  This product is on the EPA’s approved list (List N: Disinfectants for Use Against SARS-CoV-2) of disinfectants that can be used to protect against coronavirus.  The EPA registration number for this product is: 1839-220-95990.

  • All salon areas will be disinfected and sanitized between clients. Time between appointments has been added to accommodate our meticulous cleaning process.

  • Like always, our salons will be cleaned throughout the day and every night with hospital-grade disinfectant.

  • All throughout the day, our team will be focused on sanitizing all areas, surfaces, and implements such as door handles, countertops, stations, etc.

  • Hand sanitizer and various personal care products will continue to be abundantly available all throughout our salons.

  • All staff members will be wearing masks and/or face shields.

  • We have placed plexiglass space dividers and partitions at the front desk, between nail stations and between shampoo bowls.

  • All nail polish bottles will be disinfected between customers.

  • We are conducting daily symptom and temperature checks on our staff members to ensure that you are entering into a completely safe space.

 

We’re not sure how long we will be operating under these guidelines, but we will do whatever we have to do to ensure that we can continue to stay open for business and service our amazing customers.
